People in the military don’t get “fired”. We’re not civilians. We are “discharged” from service. If we screw up, and punishment is severe (and at the discretion of the CO), we’ll get an Article 15. That doesn’t normally involve being discharged. If we’re under investigation for wrong-doing, we’re given a court-martial and if found guilty, we’re either put in Leavenworth or dishonorably discharged.
We are not fired. We are discharged. Please correct future pieces.
